The Brut (stableford) :
This is the global score without influence of handicap. One Brut par wins 2 points, a Brut bogey wins 1 point. Above this, no point will be given and the player may pick up his ball before the end of the hole. A player with 0 earns 36 Brut points. The winner is the player who gains the most points.
The Net (stableford) :
Type of competition against par in which the pars are increased according to the index of the course. A Net par wins 2 points, a Net bogey wins 1 point. Above this, the player wins no point and may pick up his ball before the end of the hole. A player playing off his handicap gains 36 Net points. The winner is the player with the most points.
The Strokeplay :
This is without doubt the most well-known system, but also the most demanding, since every stroke counts and nobody can predict the victory until the end of the course. Each player adds the total of his score minus any penalties to calculate his total score. The difficulty with the Strokeplay is that it does not take account of the differences in level among players. The winner is the player who has the least shots.
